Hello there. How are you? I'm Paul Davis, Welcome to The Music of Ireland.
Since March 17, 1982, this is how I've opened my weekly radio show. Now in it's 30th year, the first The Music of Ireland show was intended as a one shot St. Patricks Day special. After a favourable response from listeners, it was decided to try it for a few weeks 'to see if it would work'. It continues to grow in popularity.
Born in Northern Ireland, I emigrated to Cape Breton in 1976. Over the years, The Music of Ireland has become a labour of love and also has inspired me to become a whistle and bodhran player.
